Troïka arrived at Belle Ferme as she was sold along with Redzina de Lassus. As she had most probably been used for racing in her previous life, like many trotters she found cantering difficult, particularly in small areas. She wasn’t an easy horse to use for the riding school for this reason, but she was a nice horse to go out for rides. After a while she was placed with a friend who had horses at home. There she lived in a field and regularly went out for rides, however, after a couple of years, she was seen to have a weakness in a hind leg. She then came back to us and we placed her under the care of Saxo Association to ensure she would enjoy a safe retirement.
What's special ?
Troika’s manners and character are lovely, both towards people and other horses. Although complicated to ride in the indoor arena, out on rides she was always a pleasure.
